Modern day researchers� shows that the main interest in implementing data mining techniques in higher educational student data. Educational data mining plays a major role in understanding behavioral patterns of students to choose a correct path for choosing their carrier. This survey focuses on such category; it also focuses on various techniques involved in making educational data mining in higher aspect. This survey discusses about different types of Educational data mining tools and techniques. In this research work a road map to researchers who work on educational data mining process by providing clear cut idea of measurements used by previous researchers are shown.
